Machinery testing
Machinery Testing and Validation for Turnkey Industrial Systems
A machine isn’t ready until it has been fully tested and validated.
At DICO Group, testing is much more than a technical check: it’s a strategic step fully integrated into the production process to ensure quality, safety, and performance in real-world conditions. From individual components to complete mechatronic assemblies, every element is rigorously validated to guarantee the full reliability of the entire system.
Testing Industrial Machinery and Systems: Why It Matters
In advanced engineering and industrial automation, industrial machinery testing is a critical part of the production process. It’s a structured, fully documented procedure that ensures every machine and function meets the required technical specifications and industry standards.
Thorough testing helps uncover potential issues before delivery, reduces commissioning time, and builds trust between the end user and the manufacturer bringing the equipment to market. While every project has its own unique requirements, our mission remains the same: to deliver equipment that performs flawlessly from day one, with reliable, long-lasting results—even under demanding operating conditions.
Technical and dimensional testing
Before any project can be considered complete, it must pass a structured technical inspection. Technical testing is the stage in which every component, subassembly, or complete machine is examined in full detail to verify compliance with customer drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
At DICO Group, this phase is carried out using advanced measurement equipment inside our metrology rooms.
Traceability of testing documentation
Alongside technical testing, we carry out a rigorous administrative phase that includes the management, verification, and archiving of all design and production information.
Material certifications,
dimensional inspection reports, assembly instructions,
IQ/OQ documents,
CE certificates, and
control checklists
are reviewed and organized according to each customer’s requirements. All data is available upon request and integrated into our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
Functional
testing
Each assembled unit is subjected to real operating cycles to verify dynamic response, stability, integration between mechanics, electronics, and sensors, and the possible presence of anomalous behavior. This phase is crucial to reduce line start-up time and strengthen technical confidence.
We also support pre-FAT and official FAT testing, providing the presence of our technical staff for any real-time support needs.
Our method:
inspections, simulations, documentation
At DICO Group, we have built a complete testing system to meet the demands of even the most regulated and complex sectors, including pharmaceutical packaging and food automation. Our process features:
Certified dimensional inspections, some of which in climate-controlled metrology rooms;
Functional bench test on subassemblies and complete modules under simulated operating conditions;
100% verification of initial samples and pre-series production;
Laboratory tests to examine technical characteristics in detail (on request);
Fully traceable technical documentation, complete and available on demand;
Support during FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and execution of internal pre-FATs.
Testing as a Driver of Improvement
Machinery testing is more than a verification step; it’s a change to identify potential issues and continuously enhance the product. The data collected during testing is shared with the client’s technical team, in order to optimize cycles, tolerances, and overall functionality. This proactive approach allows us to go beyond simple checks, providing full technical and engineering support for project validation.
At DICO Group, testing is fully integrated into our production process. Leveraging our extensive experience, advanced tools, and a specialized team, we deliver a complete, reliable, and high-value service.
